COVID-19 Update

COVID-19 has made meeting face-to-face more difficult or, in many cases, impossible. The lack of community connection has been particularly hard for those of us with learning disabilities, many of whom have had to shield away from family and friends.  We are, however, discovering new ways to stay connected.

Zoom chats have become important and we’ve also encouraged people to meet up in twos and threes. If you’ve discovered other good ways of connecting in your community please do let us know.

We are working on ways to enable safe and fun ‘virtual mixing’ activities for adults with and without learning disabilities.

During this difficult season of social disconnection, we want to use virtual mixing as a platform for building a sense of community belonging and friendship.
